The bra fitting experience is all about you. I have heard many unfortunate stories about bra fittings in other establishments, so it is my mission to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. Here is what to expect during a Beltza bra fitting:
We encourage you to ask us questions. Anything at all, any time at all (within reason of course) before, during or after your fitting, we want you to ask questions as it helps you to be more at ease with us. You know yourself best, so please help us to help you. If you are on the conservative or nervous side, please give us the heads up so we know ahead of time how to manage your expectations. Please remember, we offer private fittings in the comfort of your own home; if the idea of having a fitting at a store frightens you, we strongly recommend going for the in-house fitting, it doesn’t cost anything.
The best outfit to wear for a bra/lingerie fitting is something with a separate top and bottom. You will need to take your top off (don’t worry, the bra stays on), so if you are more on the shy side, please don’t wear a dress as you might feel self-conscious doing the fitting in your underwear. Please wear your most comfortable bra. It doesn’t matter what it looks like or what brand it is, we need you to be in something that sits well on your body to give us the most accurate measurements.
We aren’t here to stare at your body or judge what you look like, we are here to help you find bra happiness, and we need you to feel as comfortable as possible. Yes, we can tell when you’re feeling self-conscious.
Please don’t hate on yourself, your body has brought you through a lot in life and you’re still here, so please be kind.
We take measurements around the body. This means we get a little up close to you. Please don’t think we’re being weird or creepy, we’re not, it’s the way the measurements are taken. If you would prefer we take the measurements in a way that avoids the closeness please let us know before we begin, that way we can make sure you are comfortable and at ease.
Three measurements will be taken around the circumference of your chest.
Our custom couturière service requires a lot more measurements, this will be discussed with you during your first fitting.
The bottom measurement will become your bra band size, for example 36, 38, 40, etc. A combination of the middle and top measurements become your cup size, for example C, D, E, etc.
